Colonel Baquedano is the first female commander in Central America and Caribbean region. In 2016, she joined the Joint Staff of the Honduran Armed Forces as chief of the Honduran Army’s Department of Planning, Policy, and Programs for Civilian and Army Affairs.

LShe is a Former Commander at The Humanitarian Rescue Unit (UHR) in Honduras. In 2014 she founded and managed the Regional Training and Humanitarian Aid Center (CARAH).
